MALIK YOBA is an award winning actor, writer, director, producer and Hollywood veteran of over 20 years who is best known for his roles in the

Disney classic “Cool Runnings”, Fox’s “Empire” and “New York Undercover,” Tyler Perry’s “Why Did I Get Married” and “Why Did I Get Married Too” the role of “Ice” in “Arrested Development” and Paramount’s “Girlfriends.” He has appeared in over 40 films, starred in 13 television shows as a series regular and has appeared on stage with The New Group, Atlantic Theater Company, Delaware Theater Company among others.  Mr. Yoba is also an educator, motivational speaker, host, business consultant, entrepreneur and author. Before becoming an internationally known celebrity, this Bronx, NY native was an educator in 13 New York City Public High Schools working with several high-profile youth leadership organizations here and abroad and by 23 years old was the vice president of The City Kids Foundation. In 2003, Mr. Yoba established The Malik Yoba National Theatre Company (The MYNT Company), which creates, acquires, produces and distributes content for the urban theatre market. His stage musicals include “What’s on The Hearts of Men” and “Acoustic Chocolate.” The MYNT Company is also a proud sponsor of the Hip Hop Theatre Festival. A three-time NAACP Image Award Winner, Yoba is also the creator of’s ”Shop Talk: What’s On The Hearts Of Men,” has written, produced and directed digital content for Gillette, AARP, American Cancer Society among others and is co-author of the book, “Please Return My Phone Call: Preventing the Demise of Personal and Professional Relationships”, a handbook for business and interpersonal relationships.

In 2013, he co-founded iconic32 a lifestyle company/innovation studio which creates and enhances cultural movements for social good. A relentlessly curious soul, Yoba continues to pursue his many passions which all lead to initiatives that have a positive social impact with a focus on technology, film, television, music, fashion, art, culture and real estate and community development.
